Research
At NPP, we will endeavour to give you as much information as possible out of the company, the role and the contact you will be meeting, but it’s also advisable to do your own research. Company websites are normally the best place to start as they can give you a wealth of information about company histories, key people and information about their clients. Social media can also be a fantastic ground for information these days, so take some time to look at what content they are advertising.
Ensure you have the time, date and location of your interview written down. Plan your journey well ahead of time and allow extra time for traffic and any other unforeseen delays.
Key information to research should include:
- Company history
- Key people and contacts
- Size of company in terms of employees, accounts information if relevant
- Company location/s
- Company values
- Company competitors
Following your research, take time to write down any questions you may have.
At NPP, we will try and find out the format of the interview so we can give you as much information as possible beforehand. Most employers will want to go through your CV in depth so make sure you are armed with information in regards to employment gaps, problem solving situations etc.
