Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrically Bias) to work with our client who are a Power Press Specialist based in Wolverhampton.
The client has a team of skilled and experienced engineers offer a range of services including on-site service, spare parts, repair, inspection, maintenance, machine refurbishment and modernisation.
This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking business who have invested in their in-house machine shop with the introduction of CNC machine tools and Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine in order to provide all the capacity needed to repair parts for power presses, hydraulic presses, forging machines and auxiliary equipment.
The company have become a leading provider of press inspection services to comply with health and safety legislation. The ability to respond quickly and offer engineering solutions has seen the company to continue to grow annual sales and count blue chip customers in the automotive, aerospace, white goods, forging and food and drink sectors amongst our client base.
The Role:
The Multi-Skilled Engineer will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery, overseeing routine maintenance and organising repairs, and controlling and monitoring devices. You will be working both independently and on site with others dependant on job.
To be considered for this role you must be an Electrically Bias experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer within Power Press.
Salary: £32,000 basic
Working Hours:
40hrs per week
Monday-Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm
Overtime available
Nationwide field based (predominantly Midlands & Sheffield)

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with experience in servicing, repairing and maintaining mechanical power presses.
Hold formal qualifications and be conversant with current hydraulic requirements on hydraulic control systems – 18th edition (desirable but not essential)
You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of hydraulic powered machinery including pumps, manifolds, valves, pipework systems and controls.
