Industrial Electrician
Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for Qualified Industrial Electricians to work for our client who provide a maintenance service to their clients predominantly within the Food & Beverage industry. To be considered for this role you must be experienced in installs, services and repairs wiring, running cables, conduits, Ladder rack, fixtures, Stainless trays and working on any other electrical devices and systems in an industrial setting.
You will be required to work on both new and old machinery troubleshooting and fixing any problems.
This is an operational food factory therefore we are looking to speak with people who have a H&S Qualification.
Salary: £18/hour
Responsibilities
- Running electronic tests and inspections
- Cleaning contacts or circuit boards
- Ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets
- Lighting fixtures and switches.
- Preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring
- Perform and adhere to Safe Electrical Isolation procedure of existing live circuits.
- Installation of various low voltage wiring systems.
- Installation of various cable containment systems.
- Issue of Installation and condition reports.
- Testing & Energisation of systems up to 1000V, including new and modified electrical
- Ability to read and interpret Electrical Schematic Diagrams and Drawings.
- Ensure all operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications
- 17th edition qualified.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification.
- Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
- Gold Card
- Valid- IPAF
- Valid CSCS or ECS Card
